I’m Mikko and I work as a DevOps Specialist at NorthCode. I enjoy operating close to the core of systems; infrastructure, architecture, automation and the logic that keeps everything running reliably. I like understanding how things truly work under the hood, not just how to use them.
My background sits between development and operations. I design and improve pipelines, infrastructure and environments, but I also dive into application code when needed. Having visibility into both sides helps me build systems that are not only functional but sustainable and scalable. I care about clarity, automation and removing friction from the development process.
I’m comfortable taking ownership of projects and driving them forward. When something needs structure, performance improvements or simplification, I’m happy to step in. I prefer clean solutions over quick fixes and I aim to build environments that are predictable, observable and easy to maintain.
What motivates me most is solving practical problems - stabilizing complex systems, improving workflows or refining CI/CD pipelines so that deployments feel effortless. I appreciate clean architecture and thoughtful design, whether it’s in infrastructure or application code.
NorthCode stood out to me because of the people. There’s a strong sense of professionalism combined with autonomy and trust. It’s a place where technical quality matters and where individuals are encouraged to take responsibility and shape how things are built.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about strength training and performance. I like measurable progress, whether that’s improving a lift or optimizing a deployment pipeline. Continuous improvement, consistency and attention to fundamentals are principles I apply both in training and in technology.
