From the beginning of spring 2023, the decrease in market demand directly impacted NorthCode’s business. Like many consulting companies in the market, NorthCode had to adapt to the weakened market situation, which was reflected in its profitability.

The market challenges drove NorthCode to sharpen its marketing message regarding Platform Engineering services. This was a necessary and important measure in response to the changing market situation. By closely focusing on understanding customers’ wishes and challenges related to Platform Engineering, NorthCode can now offer more added value to its customers. This change required investments and development work but was a necessary step towards sustainable growth.

Sales Investments and Leadership

During the fiscal year, NorthCode also invested in sales, and at the end of 2023, Hanna Saari started as Chief of Sales Operations (CSO). Saari’s entry brought new energy and strategic expertise to the sales team. Under her leadership, sales processes were developed, and customer relationship management was enhanced, which began to show positive results towards the end of the fiscal year.
